Created by writer and director Ira Karp, this imaginative musical unfolds on a hilltop farm populated by a vibrant cast of characters—from Lucy and Edmund of Narnia to Nurse Fifi and Dr. Scrubb.

Blending the everyday with the magical, Greenwood is a whimsical “musical soap opera” filled with song and dance inspired by nursery rhymes, folk traditions, Bread and Puppet Theater, and pop music.

About Ira Karp

Ira Karp is a performer, writer, and director with Down Syndrome from Greensboro, Vermont. He previously performed at Studio Route 29’s Little Theater and has created numerous original works, often in collaboration with Bread and Puppet Theater. His creative voice is joyful, inventive, and deeply original.
