Support

2025 has been a radiant and bustling year for Studio Route 29. Our supported studio has been open to 38 artists for 208 days, We’ve been part of 9 external exhibitions including several Studio Artist’s solo debuts in NYC, opened 10 on site exhibitions, held 6 film screenings, been part of 2 fashion shows, released our first record on vinyl, published our third and fourth books, listened to our music on 5 radio stations, and maintained an exhibition program at our friendly neighborhood restaurant FiNNBAR not to mention all the magical everyday things that go on at Studio Route 29 and are hard put into words.

On average we spend a thousand dollars per month on stocking the studio with professional grade supplies. Enrolled artists have access to as much as they need to maintain their practice. For lots of artists, it's a first time encountering this diversity of high quality materials, and it's a critical part of how we support people at Studio Route 29.
Maybe you choose your birth month, or gift your friend their birth month, or maybe you choose a month that suits your name like Bob-tober, or Jen-uary. Sponsors will be publicly celebrated (if they want) and will receive a gift from the studio during their month.

Enrollment cost at Studio Route 29 is on a sliding scale and artists are asked to self identify an amount they can afford to pay sustainably over time. This is a commitment we make to extend the resources of the studio to people regardless of their financial situation. Donations directly sustain our programming, providing critical resources that support individual creative practices and the means to amplify the creative production of our studio artists broadly through gallery representation. Studio Route 29 is a 501c3 non profit organization and donations are tax deductible. We accept Donor Advised Funds.

Another way you can support the studio is by donating art materials and technology. All studio artists have full access to the studio's materials and technology and everyone's practice relies on the continued availability of these items.
Examples of materials we look for are: clean yardage of fabric or usable scraps, plain and clean clothing, yarn rolls or skeins, usable graphite, pencils, colored pencils, oil, wax, and chalk pastels, markers and pens, acrylic paint, usable paintbrushes, old photographs, usable paper (especially thick watercolor paper), unused canvases, light sculpture materials like air dry clay and small wood cut-offs. We also accept musical instruments and technology like tablets, laptops, and cameras that are not older than 5 years.
To schedule a donation drop off please text or call(908) 248 2438 or email studio@studioroute29.org
Please do not drop off supplies at the studio without communicating with us first.
