Studio Route 29 invites you over for a day of art, food and drink in Frenchtown, NJ. Help send us off to our first major art fair in NYC - Join us in a movement for change! Help us transform the landscape of contemporary art and break down limiting perceptions of disability and creativity in the larger culture.

May 7-11th, Studio Route 29 artists BJ Armour Jr., Theo Baransky, and Michael Angelo Mangino will exhibit new works in a shared booth with Creative Growth at NADA New York,a high profile art fair which has become the bellwether for new currents in the contemporary art world. What is Studio Route 29 if not a crucial new current!? As a progressive art studio supporting artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities, our gallery’s mission is to connect Studio Route 29 artists with a broad public, particularly in places where these important contributions have historically been left out. It's past time to bring recognition and opportunity to developmentally disabled artists and expand conceptions of how and where culture is made. Together we are uplifting visionary artists, and making the world a more vibrant and inclusive place as a whole.

You're invited to visit our studio and partners on the banks of the Delaware. We will begin at Studio Route 29 where you can take a tour led by Studio artist Theo Baransky, meet our founders, Kathleen Henderson, Hop Peternell, and Lydia Glenn-Murray, and learn about our studio, gallery, and special projects through conversation and a private screening of some fun video art highlights from our program. Next stop is ArtYard, where we will have a chance to view our permanent exhibition space and hear from founder Jill Kearney about our groundbreaking partnership. And to wrap it all up we will continue down the tow path to FiNNBAR for seasonal, local hors d'oeuvres, thoughtful wine pairings, music from Studio Route 29, and conversation with co-owner and chef Cal Peternell, the renowned cookbook author formerly of Chez Panisse, and co-owner, general manager, wine expert, and artist Ethan Stuart.

We invite you to be part of a network of individuals and organizations working to bring this vital art and music into a world that we believe can only be made more connected, thoughtful, and joyous by it.
