"Spring is Coming with a Strawberry in the Mouth"

February 18th to April 23rd, 2023

Soon spring desires eagerly leap

Announce! To move to hasten from sleep

Springing time with fevered taste

Soft soft winds on our strawberry face

Hurry spring, cause to work, or not

Lenctenadle, Lenctenadle clean our house of snot!

Our Beauty Gallery springs forth! As winter comes close to rest we cannot wait. We offer this dazzling collection as we think on where we are and where we dream of being and also the death and mold and compost that comes into view with every tender sprout, growing in last year's garden. Angst too! Itching for flowers, rushing towards new powers. The first smells of the berries of springtime waft. Poutily we droop towards our bursting bulb selves and poking our crowns above the frost we think we feel some sunny days.

Studio Route 29 is grateful to the artists, lenders, friends, supporters, volunteers, family members, and Progressive Art Studios that have made this show possible. Much of the work in this show has been gathered in partnership with studios like ours around the country: Elbow Room (Portland, OR), LAND (New York City, NY), Summertime (New York City, NY), Creativity Explored (San Francisco, CA), and Center for Creative Works (Philadelphia, PA). We are excited and grateful to be a part of this growing and flourishing community of artists and facilitators.
