Patrick Warner
Biography
Patrick Warner’s (b. 1990) florals and portraits are made in conversation with historical paintings of the Dutch Golden Age and French Impressionism. A long-time lover of Van Gogh, his current project began when he joined Studio Route 29 in 2024 and made his first painting, inspired by Van Gogh’s classic sunflowers. Warner paints swiftly and confidently, presenting us with works in which paint’s material unruliness is foregrounded in heavy drips and liquidity. Born in Chicago, Patrick Warner is now based in the Delaware River Valley, New Jersey.
